ABSTRACT

Objective To discuss the value of CT and MRI in diagnosis of laryngeal non-Hodgkin's lymphoma(NHL).Methods The clinical data,CT and MRI findings and pathology of 26 patients with laryngeal NHL were analyzed retrospectively.Results Of 26 patients with laryngeal NHL,14 were diffuse large B-cell lymphoma,6 were NK/T-cell lymphoma,2 were follicular lymphoma,2 were small lymphocytic lymphoma(SLL),1 was angioimmunoblastic lymphoma and 1 was peripheral T-cell lymphoma.CT and MRI findings of laryngeal NHL:(1)laryngeal NHL showed homogeneous density on CT,slightly high signal intensity on T2WI,intermediate signal intensity on T1WI and moderate homogeneous enhancement;(2)laryngeal NHL was symmetrical and diffuse in appearance;(3)laryngeal NHL tended to spread through the submucosal and fat space,while muscle or cartilage invasion was quite rare but existed;(4)multisite lesions in Waldeyer's ring were obseverd occasionally.For those young male presenting diffuse multisite laryngeal lesion without a history of tuberculosis,a diagnosis of NHL should be raised.Conclusion CT and MRI can show the characteristics of the laryngeal NHL exactly,thus have applied value in detecting laryngeal NHL.

ABSTRACT

<p><b>OBJECTIVE</b>To study the effect of different water stress mode on photosynthesis characteristics of Aconitum barbaturnm, aimed at providing the theoretical basis for cultivating this kind of plant for the arid area.</p><p><b>METHOD</b>The transplanted seedlings of A. barbatum were processed with fixed partial root zone drying(TI) ,alternate partial root zone drying(T2) and both partial root zone irrigation (T3) for three cycles,and relative parameters were measured.</p><p><b>RESULT</b>The net photosynthetic rate (Pn) in the treatment of T2 gradually increased and was higher than that in the treatment of T3 about 6.53%, mainly effected by non-stomatal factors. The water use efficiency (WUE) was higher than that in the treatments of T3 about 25.21%, while the transpiration rate (Tr) and the stomatal conductance was lower than those in the treatment of T1 and T3 separately. The maximum net photosynthesis rate (Pmax),the apparent quantum yield (AQY) and the dark respiration rate (Rd) were higher than those in comparison condition slightly.</p><p><b>CONCLUSION</b>The alternate partial root zone drying is worth promoting vigorously, and it shall be a rational way to cultivate the A. barbatum under woodland.</p>

ABSTRACT

[Objective] To explore the relationship between TCM syndrome patterns and physicochemical parameters of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). [Methods] Five hundred hospitalized cases of COPD were investigated. The correlation of TCM syndrome patterns with pulmonary function, blood analysis and biochemical indexes were assayed by logistic forward regression analysis and linear multiple regression analysis, and then the above indexes were analyzed by independent- samples t test. [Results] Five equations were obtained by logistic regression. Positive correlation was found between the number of white blood cells (WBC) and the pattern of phlegm-heat blocking lung, hemoglobin (HGB) level and the pattern of yang deficiency with fluid retention, as well as red cell distribution width (RDW) and the pattern of kidney deficiency. Maximal expiratory flow rate in residual 75 % vital capacity ( MEF75), peak of expiratory flow (PEF) and mean corpuscular hemoglobin (MCH) were negatively correlated with the pattern of yang deficiency with fluid retention. Maximal expiratory flow rate in residual 25% vital capacity (MEF25) and granulocyte percentage (GP) were also negatively correlated with the pattern of spleen deficiency. So did potassium ions (K+ ) level and the pattern of kidney deficiency, t test showed the same results. [Conclusion] The above indexes have great value for TCM syndrome differentiation of COPD.
